Asbestos was formerly an often used insulation material. However, today it is removed because asbestos in loose form is damaging to the health. Specially trained personnel are needed for removal of asbestos.  The strictest possible safety precautions must be observed and at the same time the work must cause a minimum of inconvenience to the on-going production.
